Villa Lumiere

The room felt romantic, and the sauna was worth using. The security guard was kind and tried to sort out the curtains, though there wasn’t much he could do. Several things need maintenance from the owners. I saw similar complaints from three years ago, so I assume nothing has changed since. There was no firewood available, and the AC couldn’t cover the whole space. The jacuzzi leaked beside the curtains and left the floor wet. There was no shampoo, only hand soap. Most annoying, the curtains were off their tracks and couldn’t cover the whole windows. I attached photos.

The sauna and jacuzzi both worked, and the shower was fine as long as we kept it under ten minutes. Still, several things were off: the sauna light was out, the jacuzzi tap wobbled, and the shower drain was almost blocked. One TV kept switching itself off after five minutes, while the other had fewer channels but stayed on. Neither TV's smart features were usable. We had a great time, but at that price we expected everything to be perfect, and it wasn't. It used to be perfect for a while, now it's just good.

We enjoyed our time there and the place itself is nice, but too many things need fixing for the price. The bathroom smelled awful, the shower drain was clogged, and its lights, like the sauna lights, didn't work. The jacuzzi could only be used as a bathtub. There was no toilet paper or shampoo, only soap, and in December there was no firewood. Neither of the two TVs had channels. The aquarium had only three fish. If all of that worked, it might deserve 5+ stars, but in its current state it wasn't worth the money.

For what we paid per night, the owner had only the basic TV channel package, which didn't seem acceptable when no food was included. The apartment beds weren't anything special either, and the outdoor beds and seats weren't clean.
