Thande Beach Hotel Ngapali

We spent two nights here for our honeymoon, and the staff were very helpful and gave us great service. The room was clean, surprisingly comfortable, and had a very nice sea view. The hotel is close to the sea, and there's a good restaurant on a small island nearby. I'd definitely recommend it to other couples on a honeymoon.

We loved our six nights at PVR in a sea-front bungalow, even though the last three days got chaotic and noisy when a large group of very loud, disrespectful Chinese guests took over the resort. We'd still come back. The location and sea view were fantastic. Our room was clean and spacious, with nice furnishings and comfortable beds. Every evening staff turned the beds down and switched on the lights, so we never returned to a dark room. They were so friendly and remembered little things, like who wanted tea or coffee and where we liked to sit in the dining area. Breakfast was always good, with a delicious soup each day. The restaurant on the islet was nice but more expensive, and you can't charge its bill to your room, so you need to pay separately. Nearby, it's an easy walk to plenty of restaurants and a laundry that was really cheap. For custom sewing, May’s shop opposite the Amata hotel will make what you ask for at a very low price and have it ready the next day. The sea was lovely for swimming, warm and without a current. Get up early for a walk and you can watch the fishermen bringing in their catch. Along the beach toward town, there's a small beach shelter where the girls cook wonderful seafood cheaply.

The sea-view room was simple but everything worked, and the crew gave great service. We'd booked the sea-facing room weeks in advance, but they gave it to another customer. After I firmly asked for the room we'd booked, they moved the other customer and returned it to us. The mix-up soured our mood quite a bit. It would've been perfect if they hadn't messed up our booking.

The dining room was clean, and breakfast was delicious. The sea-view rooms are lovely, and there's a bar and restaurant on the small rocky island. Go there for a beer or cocktail at sunset, the view is breathtaking. Pleasant View Resort is one of the best hotels on Ngapali Beach, and I'd recommend staying there.
