Hotel The Haven

Our room had a lovely lake view, and the space was much bigger than the photos suggested. The layout worked really well, with blackout curtains and shades and a long bench for luggage that kept the living area clear. The rooftop infinity pool looks over the city, with tables around it, though food service ended far too early. Downstairs, the lobby has plenty of comfortable places to work and plug in, and the AC, elevator, and facilities all worked well. The location was convenient, a short drive from northern Mandalay and most attractions, with tuk tuks and taxis outside, yet away from city noise. The restaurant had a broad menu at decent prices and offered the full menu through room service. Complimentary breakfast was quite good too, with eggs made to order, coffee and tea, plus Asian and Western buffet choices, breads, and juices. A great value and a good stay for any length of visit.

The hotel looks relaxing, but the interior doesn’t feel up to the standard of a mid-range place. The furniture was so uncomfortable that sitting on it was basically impossible. The bath robe was torn and not suitable for a hotel. I don’t think I’ll come back.

I love how the pool and room are designed. The room isn’t very big, but it’s okay for 2 to 3 people. I’d like to go back.

It’s a new hotel with spacious rooms and a superb view of Mandalay Hill. The service was not bad, and there’s a rooftop pool. Breakfast was just ordinary.
