The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we asked the manager where to get them. Breakfast was lovely too, and the restaurant serves great barbecue, Thai, and Sri Lankan food. Staff were friendly and the service was great. Since the hotel is a little outside Bagan, it’s a peaceful spot if you’re traveling by car.

We found Royal KK Bagan during the busy holiday season, while visiting the ancient city, and it exceeded what I expected for a place in this kind of destination. The river branch view from the pool was amazing, and the hotel’s large garden was breathtaking. We spent a festival night there, with lights and oil lamps decorating the whole place, which made it feel so peaceful. The attention to detail was spot on. The manager greeted us when we arrived and personally kept an eye on everything, and the staff were lovely. The food was on point, with plenty of options, and the rooms were comfortable and each had its own character. Even in the busy season, the packages were far from reasonable.

The hotel sits on the Ayeyarwaddy river bank, so the views are naturally fantastic, with palm trees all around. The rooms are grand and spacious, and there’s a mid-sized conference room. It is about a 20-minute drive from Bagan.

It’s a big hotel with nice service, and the price is very reasonable. The setting is quiet, though the Bagan pagodas are about half an hour away by car.

A gorgeous pool looks out over the river, and the staff are helpful. The food was yummy too. One of my best experiences in Myanmar, highly recommend it.
