Agga Youth Hotel

The breakfast was really good, fresh, and a great deal for the price. Everything else was good too. I spent two nights in the dorm, but didn't sleep well because my roommates listened to things on their phones all night without headphones. Another guest got up at 4, turned on the light, and started playing morning music. That made it hard to sleep, though it was the guests' rudeness, not the hotel's fault.

The staff were welcoming and did their best to help travelers, and the WiFi worked great. Breakfast was better than I expected. The rooms are small, basic, and quaint, but clean, quiet, and comfortable. It's centrally located, within walking distance of the train station. For a hostel, it's a great option with good accommodations and staff, though there are no frills.

It feels quiet and safe, and the toilets are clean with hot and cold water, though there are no bathtubs. The downtown location is handy, close to a cinema, different shops, and plenty of street food. Rooms are narrow, and the photos may make them look like double rooms. Prices run from 19,000 for a single to 35,000 for a three-bed room, so it isn't especially budget friendly. Breakfast is included, usually fried rice or fried vermicelli with half-fried eggs, sometimes Montgingya. Parking can be difficult, and the rooms need redecorating. I give it four stars, though it won't suit everyone.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and the location was great. The rooms were clean, but the three-bed room and single room we booked had no windows. Luckily, there wasn't much of a smell. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
