My kids had a great time in the play room, especially with the rock climbing, trampoline, billiards and darts. The pool was okay, but check-in wasn't until 3 pm and it closed at 5, so we barely had time to enjoy it. The beach was just mid, and the room was too. We spent a week in Saipan and stayed at two resorts, including Kensington, which is rated five stars. Honestly, it didn't feel like a five-star place to me. I'd call it four stars so guests don't expect too much.

The aircon failed twice on separate occasions, and my kids were crying from the humidity when we had to leave in the middle of the night. The technician said there was nothing they could do. We were given a front desk fan, and my restroom was somehow colder than the room. I got a refund, but we lost sleep and were exhausted.

The air conditioner wasn't working properly, and noise and activity outside kept disturbing me. I couldn't relax or get tasks done, and by 8:30 I wanted to go out for breakfast, but the environment had left me feeling like I didn't want to do anything with the day. This wasn't a good stay at Kensington hotel Saipan. I want a refund, and wouldn't recommend staying in this room. I'll see if breakfast is still open when I finally leave the room.

That beach right in front of the hotel is stunning. It's shallow for quite a way, so snorkeling with kids felt safe. The pools are large and the water slides are great. We ended up spending a lot of time at the hotel because the package included the executive lounge, breakfast, and a choice of either dinner or an activity. Sailing, floats and stargazing tours that I'd seen other hotels charge for were free here. For six nights, I was happy with what we got for the price. Breakfast was a letdown, with limited choices and nothing especially good. The room was okay, though the design felt a bit too modern and fancy for my taste and what I expect at a resort. The sofas weren't very comfortable for relaxing. The facilities are quite old, but they'd been renovated, so it wasn't too inconvenient. There seemed to be lots of Korean guests, perhaps because the company is Korean owned. That wasn't a problem, but it did feel more like Korea than SAIPAN 😆. Some amenities also have limited hours, possibly because of staffing. The pools didn't open until 10:00 am, and the kids clubb rooms were only available from 2:00 if you weren't joining the paid program.

The few staff members who remain were helpful when something was within their control, but the hotel looks like it could close any day. Management fired or furloughed more than 100 employees, and the staff left behind can barely keep up with what the hotel advertises online. There are no longer multiple restaurants, amenities have shorter hours, and there's no pool bar. The kids pool and shopping are closed, as are several bathrooms. All day, there's only one place to get food or drinks. None of this was disclosed ahead of time, and staff didn't tell us at check-in. E-Land Properties should punish the property executives for mismanagement.
