The rooftop view was beautiful, and the building itself is stunning. Chiara made us feel very welcome and shared useful tips for enjoying Malta. Breakfast was fresh and a good fit for a small b&b, and hygiene was great. I was impressed by how well the old building has been kept. We had an amazing stay.

Chiara gave us such a warm, friendly welcome, and we also got to meet two of her daughters, who looked after us at breakfast. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and the property is stunning, with a rooftop terrace overlooking Valetta. It’s a fabulous four bedroom B&B in the center of old Birgu. The river taxis are a five minute walk away, and the Gate of Provence is just a couple of minutes on foot. There are lots of places to park for free there. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.

We had a relaxing, really enjoyable stay. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was great, and Chiara took wonderful care of us. Breakfast had lots to choose from, with everything served fresh each morning. The B&B is in a quiet part of Birgu, close to the main square and bus station. I’d definitely recommend it for a peaceful stay in Malta (vittoriosa). The only downside was a damp smell in the bedroom, though it passed.

Birgu made a lovely base for us, especially since we wanted somewhere that wasn’t touristy. It’s an easy boat ride to Valleta, either by high speed boat or Regatta for 2 euro PP. Palazzino Birgu is in a building over 500 years old, which made the stay feel truly special. It also felt like a home away from home, and Chiara was a lovely host. Breakfast was delicious, and we’d happily come back. Highly recommend! One practical tip for next time: I’d book through her website directly instead of a travel site. I used Agoda, and they didn’t pass on my check-in time. We were arriving very late, so this mattered. Chiara needs to contact you via What's App to explain how to get the keys for the front door and your room. Thanks, Chiara, for an amazing stay!

Chiara is a charming host, always helpful and supportive. The place has such original charm and a magical atmosphere that no number of stars could do it justice. We enjoyed every minute and didn’t want to leave. Thank you for making our vacation so special and unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back as soon as I can. 💙💜
