Hotel CA Sand Dune Hotel

The rooms are roomy and well equipped, and the hotel feels cosy and modern. It was exceptionally clean and great value. I especially loved breakfast, lots to choose from and a full English that didn’t disappoint. Tea, coffee, and juice were available freely. The staff are friendly and helpful, just ask. I’d recommend staying here and will be back. Thanks, C A Sand Dune

Dinner was good value at €25, with a fine and varied selection, and breakfast was included and excellent. The hotel is spotless, with a comfortable bedroom, a great ensuite, and elevators to every floor. Staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful. It’s a modern place on the seafront overlooking a park and beach, with a bus stop nearby. The very efficient bus gets you to Valetta for €4 return. Highly Recommended food value hotel.

The location made getting around easy, with bus stops, the beach, and places to eat close by. There aren’t many attractions right nearby, but it’s not crowded, which makes for a quiet, restful stay. The hotel seems well managed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the same selection each day, but fresh, well prepared, and enjoyable. I did miss having lunch or dinner served at the restaurant. Our room looked nice and was thoughtfully designed, but it was dark and faced an unattractive, deteriorating building. The window didn’t seal properly, so cigarette smoke came in from outside along with street noise. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable, and you could feel the springs. During our longer stay, towels were changed and rubbish taken out, but the room wasn’t properly cleaned. The floor was never swept, the bathroom wasn’t maintained, hair built up in the shower drain, and mold started forming in the corners. That was a real letdown. The hotel has good management, staff, and location, but room comfort and especially cleanliness need attention.

I spent a week here and had no complaints about the service, food, or staff. Everything was amazing, and the staff helped with whatever I needed. Sand Dune Hotel is in a quiet area, so I’d recommend renting a car if you stay here. It made the whole visit more convenient and enjoyable.
