The room itself looked inviting for the last night of our holiday, but it was sparsely furnished, the technology didn’t work, and the floor was dirty with long black women’s hair on it. There was a strong smell of cat urine in the room, covered up with chemical cleaner, much like in the hallway. The entrance area was also dirty. Outside, the area is beautiful, but the streets had cat and dog droppings and rubbish. The owners’ response made the stay even worse. When we tried to contact them about these problems, they spoke very rudely in very poor English, showed no interest in explaining, cooperating, or finding a solution, and hung up during the call. After about an hour of trying to reach someone again, I was put off once more and rudely told to leave the premises. I’ve never been treated this way by a provider on any trip. That alone merits a very poor rating. I have nothing positive to say about this accommodation.

It was unbearably hot in the room because the AC didn’t work, and we couldn’t sleep. The owners were very rude and hard to reach when we needed help. There was no check-in information, so we had to look around the entrance ourselves to find the room key. No TV, no Wi-Fi, and no hot water either. Please save your money and stay somewhere else.

The breakfast alone is worth recommending, and Julie is a wonderful cook. We’re still in the middle of our honeymoon stay on Malta and already don’t want to leave. The building is traditional Maltese, with sandstone walls, lovely Mediterranean tiles, and local art, all refurbished with great taste. Every detail feels right. It’s in a prime spot, and the laidback owners and their adorable Labrador, Roxy, make it even nicer.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient, close to everything while still in a quiet area. It’s a beautifully restored house with lots of old features, paired with modern rooms that have all the comfort you could want. Everything feels well done and high quality.

Julie and Glen gave us a warm, friendly welcome. The house has been beautifully restored and still has lots of character. We could walk to the ferry for Valletta, Senglea, and Birgu, and the breakfasts were excellent.
