For a budget hotel, it was cheap and I can’t complain. We’re young and travelling, so it suited us perfectly. We got around the whole island by bus, and the location made that easy. The breakfast was really nice, and room service was great. The pool across the road was amazing too. One receptionist was especially lovely and helpful, a man with short black hair and a thick accent. I can’t remember his name.

The staff were cheerful and helpful throughout, and the hotel had all the details thoughtfully arranged. We had a great February stay for the Valetta Carnival, with a short ferry crossing over the bay. It’s also well placed for Sliema’s bars and places to eat, right on the doorstep. One small downside is that the neighborhood is cramped, so the room views aren’t great. The Lido is across the road, about 200 yards away.

The staff at Azur Hotel are wonderful, especially at reception. They’re always smiling, kind, and ready to help with almost anything. With its location as a great base for exploring Malta, Azur Hotel would always be my first choice.

We had a very good breakfast buffet, with lots of choices including vegetarian food, and the location was perfect and quiet in December. The staff were accommodating and quick to sort out any issues. The cleaning person was so thoughtful and kind, even leaving us a little towel lotus 🪷 as a surprise. We enjoyed our four nights. The clean room and bathroom had air conditioning, a hairdryer, TV, stools in both the room and on the balcony, a mini fridge and kettle, plus complimentary tea and coffee. Reception is open 24 hours. Sliema is nearby, the ferry to Valletta Waterfront is about a 15-minute walk and costs 3€, and several connecting buses stop a short walk away.

We’ve just got home from five lovely nights with the family. The location was great and everyone was really friendly. Habiba, our room attendant, left us beautifully folded towels each day. Fantastic service.
