A lovely, typically Maltese place, and nice and quiet. It’s spacious, but can feel cold when the outdoor temperature drops. There are three electric heaters for warmth.

It was cramped and not ready when we arrived, with the inside temperature around 50 degrees. The terrace was embarrassing too: old chairs and a wobbly table. And all of that for 700 euros, no way.

The rooftop is a nice feature, whether for a meal or watching the stars. Hot water only lasts for a limited time. There’s a local market and a good family-run cafe close by, and the bus stop is within walking distance.
