Santa Lucia Boutique Hotel

For a short stay, this is good value and I’d come back. It’s a nice little hotel, with clean rooms, friendly staff, and good breakfast. We did have to wait around 25-30 minutes after ordering breakfast, but that was okay. The rooms are quite noisy because the soundproofing is poor, so you can hear what’s going on next door. I also missed having a table and chair in the room. For some reason, there were two fridges instead :)

We had a lovely stay and the service was top notch. Breakfast had a really good range of options. We also had dinner there one night, and both the food and service were great again.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was fantastic, everything was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too, couldn’t ask for more.

I chose the hotel largely because of the pool, so it was frustrating to find that it has no handle or proper support to help older guests get in and out safely. It’s especially difficult for elderly people to use. I raised the same concern with the owner about two years ago and was told it was a good idea and would be addressed. I expected the issue to have been fixed by now, but nothing seems to have changed. I’m gluten-free, and the way my dietary needs were handled was unsatisfactory. At check-in, the receptionist told me to speak directly with the restaurant staff. At breakfast they first served me regular food, as they hadn’t been told about my needs. After I explained, they offered only two pieces of toast and no dessert. I asked again and made clear that I can’t eat gluten, but was told to take food from the regular buffet. The lack of care and understanding left me with very limited options that didn’t feel safe. Parking was also a problem. The parking area isn’t reserved for guests, so anyone can use it, and it was very difficult to find a space when we needed one. I hope these issues are taken seriously and that accessibility, attention to dietary needs, and guest facilities improve.
