Michelle and her staff at @Gozo delivered customer service that impressed me more than almost anywhere I’ve been around the world. Every staff member deserves a standing ovation. There are lovely sights to find on walks around the island, though some of the hills are worth being ready for. Buses are easy to catch from the hotel, and reception will help you work out which ones to take. We found The Reef by chance and liked what we saw advertised. It gave us the relaxed Christmas break we wanted. Transfers weren’t included, but getting an Uber to the ferry and then the very fast ferry to Gozo was easy. The reception team welcomed us warmly and were accommodating from the start. Our front-facing room was lovely, with the balcony shown on the website. The meals were excellent, and head Chef Glen’s love of cooking and people came through throughout our stay. I’d have taken him back to England if I could. The breakfast staff, especially the person they called China, were attentive, as were Angelic and the rest of housekeeping. The spa wasn’t open yet, which was disappointing, so check its status if that’s one of your reasons for going. Still, it didn’t spoil an amazing stay. I’d definitely recommend this hotel as a place to relax and unwind.

I’ve stayed here twice now and am sure I’ll keep coming back. The location is excellent, the value is great, and the staff are amazing. The rooms and beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever had, and breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. I can’t wait to return and try the spa once it officially opens. Highly recommend.

The dining really impressed us, with delicious meals, lots of variety, and such thoughtful service from the amazing kitchen staff. We were welcomed warmly at the desk by a lovely young woman. Our cozy room had stunning views, and having a double washroom was an added bonus. It felt like a home away from home, and we’ll definitely visit again!
