Sealove Haven Apartment

The host met us outside the apartment and gave us a warm welcome. There was bread, water, cheese, wine and beer waiting for us. They went over the house rules and pointed out Malta’s main sights on a map, as well as a supermarket with reasonably priced goods. We found the location very convenient. The bus stop was seven steps away, with the stop in the opposite direction a few metres across the street. The supermarket was a two-minute walk, and the seaside or a bus was five minutes away. The kitchen had all the basics and more, including cookware, a kettle, microwave, stove, fridge and freezer. We also had soap, laundry detergent pods, clean towels, European plug adapters, an iron and a hairdryer. The main problems were the thin walls and the duvet. We could constantly hear children running and shouting upstairs from 7am to 10pm. The duvet situation didn’t meet the European standard of using a cover, so I assume the whole duvet goes in the washing machine. I also found the mattress too soft, though that’s just my personal preference. The location, amenities and host’s hospitality were the best parts; I had concerns about the duvet hygiene.

It was all as described, and getting in touch with the owner was very easy.
