The apartment itself was nice, and we were happy with our stay. But a few hours after I left the five-star review the owner had asked me for twice, she sent a bill for more than 200 Euro for damage we hadn’t caused, then posted a negative review about us on AirB&B. By then, I could no longer edit my review there. The damage in her photos was already there when we arrived. I hadn’t reported it because it seemed minor and unimportant. If you stay here, take a video or lots of photos as soon as you arrive. I feel the owner uses false accusations to get extra income.

We ended up in a different apartment from the one shown in the photos, and there were two beds in the hallway. The owner came across as very polite and friendly, and asked us to leave the highest rating possible. Once we had submitted it, she demanded an extra €200 for damage that was already there, blaming us for it. None of us had thought to take detailed photos before renting, which we should have done. From the comments, it seems this is standard procedure for her.

The bus stop is close, though the service was a bit hit and miss. Taxis are definitely a better bet if you want to save an hour getting to Valettta or elsewhere in Malta. We had a fantastic stay: the place was clean and comfortable, with two pools that were quiet and easy access to the beach. There were also some good restaurants within walking distance.

The main drawback was how noisy the other guests could be, with no way to get away from it. That can happen anywhere, though, and isn’t the fault of the property or its owners. The apartments themselves are really nice, with great views and amenities. You’re a bit far from attractions, so you’ll need a car unless you’re just going to the local harbour.

The area is calm and easy to walk around, and the apartment has pools and a sea view. It’s a wonderful place, but quite far from the tourist attractions. Getting anywhere by bus takes a long time.
