The rooftop bar, pool, and seating area were great, with a fantastic view of the church, Mellieħa town, and the Mediterranean Sea right below. There are also lots of restaurants, bars, and historical sites nearby, and you can walk to the beach. The way back is very steep, though, so I’d take a bus. It’s a nice hotel with good rooms, a good breakfast, and plenty of dinner choices. We really enjoyed our stay. Reception could be better: when you ask something, it can feel like they just want to give you a quick answer and move you along. Pick a room in the main building with a balcony if you can. Without one, it feels mainly like somewhere to sleep, with little comfort. Maltese people always seem to find something to celebrate, there are parades almost all the time! 😊

We’ve got a lower priced room without a balcony or a sea or courtyard view, but it’s clean, practical, spacious, and has everything we need for a week. The staff have been friendly and efficient. I can’t comment on the pricier rooms with balconies and better views, but I’d happily recommend this comfortable accommodation for a very cost effective holiday.

We stayed for two weeks, and the hotel suited us really well. The rooftop pool and bar were great, with drinks and food brought over to us. It worked nicely for us as a couple since kids weren’t allowed on the roof for safety reasons. We skipped the garden and indoor pool, but those seemed like good options for families. Breakfast was very good, with the cakes and sweets changing each day. Our room was nice and made up daily, though my partner, who smokes, was a bit annoyed that our small balcony had no ashtray. The front desk staff were welcoming and helped with our questions. I went to the spa twice for a facial and a back, shoulder, and neck massage. They explained everything, and I thought the spa was great. Room service was quick and efficient, but I called three times to get our tray collected and nobody came. We finally left it outside our door so it wouldn’t stay in the room overnight. The service and do not disturb buttons by the bed didn’t seem very useful, as housekeeping knocked even with do not disturb on. When we put the physical sign on the door, they didn’t knock. At check in, we got a booklet with tours sold by the agency next door, which was convenient. Residents also get 10% off at the restaurant, a nice touch. I’d recommend this hotel.

We’re really enjoying the stay, and the room and service have both been excellent. The main problem has been the very strong perfume in the bedrooms, which seems to come through the central air conditioning. It’s so intense that it’s made us feel unwell and even caused a burning sensation in our throats. We can smell it in the restaurant too. Everything else has been very good. I hope the hotel will consider reducing or removing the fragrance from the central AC, since it can be overwhelming for guests sensitive to strong smells.
