Hotel VIU57

The staff were so lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. Great views, with lots of Mellieha restaurants an easy walk away. The room was a bit smaller than we expected, and the breakfast selection was quite limited compared with the hotel we visited in June. We liked breakfast on maybe two days, but there wasn't much choice for us on the others.

The rooms were smaller than the pictures suggest, and the bathrooms were small too. Beds and pillows are very firm, which might suit some people, but not me. The double was two singles pushed together, and the duvet was too small for two. A building site next door started work at 7.30am daily, which could be a disturbance for a few more months, though that's outside the hotel's control. The unheated pool gets no sun in autumn or winter, was not very clean, and is overlooked by that site, so it wasn't appealing to hang out there. The town, lovely church, and public transport are conveniently close. The hilltop views are stunning, staff were friendly, breakfasts were OK, and housekeeping tidied daily and changed towels as needed. We enjoyed our stay, but probably wouldn't return.

The staff were super friendly, and my room was spacious, quiet, clean, and had fantastic views. Shops, cafés, restaurants, and bus stops are all close by. I was there from 20.12.25 to 03.01.26 after booking through Thomas Cook, and it was great value for a bed and breakfast holiday. A few things were annoying: the fridge was noisy, the sheet was torn, the duvet didn't fit well or feel wide enough, and the double bed was really two singles pushed together. Even so, I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed 5 nights, and Dora was especially helpful to me and my partner. She arranged help with renting a car and offered a later checkout because our flight was in the evening. Our room had a beautiful, peaceful view, was very clean, and housekeeping did a great job each day. It was a lovely stay, and the service really stood out. Should be a 4 star hotel.
