Handy spot in Malta, close to a bus stop, bakeries and food shops. A lovely place to stay.

Great value for money, with a large, clean enough apartment in the old city centre. The furnishings feel luxurious and the amenities work well, including the air conditioning and shower. There’s room for three, though the bathroom has no privacy, so it’s better suited to couples. It’s well placed for getting to Valletta and around central Malta.

The location is livable, but I wouldn’t suggest staying here unless you’re up for an adventure with a close friend. At night it honestly feels like being in a horror film, so anyone easily scared should avoid it. The rooms are a long way from what you’d expect in Malta, and the shared bathroom is outside the room. They were extremely dirty: the bed, the dusty floor and the mini-bar, which wasn’t usable. There were spiders in the bathrooms, no hair dryer, and the sheets and towels weren’t changed. The shower curtain is plastic and water spills all over the floor. Check-in was basically absent too. I had to keep calling the owner until he picked up, then he sent a code for the electronic room lock.
