XVI Suites

We stayed from April 23 to 27 for my girlfriend’s birthday, and the hotel made it feel special with a wonderful cake, balloons, and chilled prosecco. The rooms were excellent and clean, with a great shower. We loved having breakfast each day. There was a wonderful variety, we tried almost everything, and it was always tasty. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for an adults-only hotel.

The breakfast downstairs was delicious, and we appreciated the complimentary tokens for Prosecco on the rooftop. This is a new, modern, clean hotel with a lovely luxurious feel. Robes, slippers, towels, a mini bar, and a coffee station were all provided. The location is the letdown, beside a motorway and surrounded by several building sites. The pool also closes at 6pm, and tables that weren’t available never had reserved signs, which made it unclear where we could sit.

We had a lovely five-day stay in a new, perfectly clean room. Everyone was kind and caring whenever we needed something. Rasheed at breakfast deserves a special mention: he handled every menu request with a smile. The hotel management and reception were just as kind and always smiling. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but I think one was Mr. Mohamed and there was also a lovely young lady. The only downside was motorcycle noise from the highway. We came prepared with earplugs and didn’t mind it much, and the balconies and doors are very well insulated. My only suggestion is to leave earplugs in the rooms in case guests need them.

Room 204, a junior suite, was lovely: spacious, clean, with a luxurious feel and a wonderful, comfortable bed. The room had everything we needed, including a coffee machine, robes, slippers, toiletries, a clothes steamer, a mini bar, and glasses. The staff were lovely, professional, and attentive, and breakfast and service were amazing. The view was terrible, overlooking the sealife carpark, and the glass balcony would leave you exposed to thousands of people in summer. The air-conditioning is centrally controlled, so you can’t switch it off if you’re hot, while the road noise is too loud to leave the door open. The pillow options were awful: one was very large and firm, the other very soft and lumpy. The website says the room has a shower over a bath, but there was no bath, just a rainfall shower. I’d been looking forward to a deep, relaxing soak.
