The staff were polite and kind, but that was the only good part of our stay. Our room looked nothing like the photos: the layout was different, amenities were missing, and it wasn’t the room we’d booked. We tried to get our money back, but couldn’t, even though they gave us a completely different room. The bathroom wasn’t shown in the online photos. In the kitchen, half the things seemed destroyed, and there were no knives, towels, or cleaning supplies. Some lights didn’t work, and the duvets were so thin that we froze all night. After seeing other reviews, it seems this wasn’t just a one-off mistake.

We booked through Booking.com under "SC Club Village" and left after one night out of eight, then booked somewhere else in Gozo. That meant paying twice just to get away. This was nothing like the safe family holiday they advertised. There were big buses bringing in groups of school and college teenagers, and it felt like a party hostel. The 11 pm noise curfew wasn’t enforced. If you need sleep and a safe place to holiday with children, this is not it.

I came for a bit of rest, and the quiet made it just right. The building is really old and lovely, and the pool is very big. I also met a guy who made the best cocktail I’ve ever tried. It was delicious. #ComidaConCorazon.

There are lots of young people around, which is cool, and the pool is nice. The idea behind the whole building is pretty cool too, but our room was awful. Maybe the other studios are better. If you book here, I’d suggest a group apartment instead, ours was okay and quite cheap. We’d booked a private Studio but were first put in a group apartment. After we complained, they gave us a key to a studio that looked as if someone had been living there, with towels on the floor. We were sent back to the group apartment for the night and got a voucher for two 10€ pizzas. That was a bad deal since the group apartment costs half as much, 30€. The next day we moved to the Studio, which had supposedly been cleaned, but still wasn’t really clean. It definitely wasn’t worth 60€ a night, as I’ve seen many better apartments for that price. The kitchen was tiny, old, and dirty, with unwashed plates and pans, and one of the two hotplates was broken. In the bathroom the mirror was dirty, and the bathtub was disgusting, with a useless shower curtain. Worst of all was the really bad smell, like an old house or mold. We even moved our beds next to the window for fresher air.
