The staff were kind and helpful throughout. They quickly sorted out a room problem and gave us directions whenever we asked. When our flight was cancelled after checkout, they let us come back to the same room as if nothing had happened. There are bus stops nearby, and restaurants, bars, arcades and souvenir shops are all within walking distance. We didn’t try the pool because we spent most of our time out, though other guests seemed to enjoy it and stayed there a lot. The hotel and room were plain, with a late-80s feel, but not dirty. Our room was large and had a terrace, though it was below street level with no view. The area and hotel were quiet, so we had no trouble with noise from the street or other rooms.

The room had a smell, and the bed felt as if it could fall apart. It was difficult to sleep on. The furniture and kitchen equipment should have been updated years ago. The whole place felt like travelling back to the early 80s. For that price, I’d rather stay somewhere else. I didn’t like anything about this hotel and would avoid it.

The pool was clean, which is why I’m giving it two stars. The apartment itself was old and dirty. There’s no air conditioning, and the ventilation was so dusty that switching it on covered the whole apartment in black dust.

It’s cheap, clean, and only five minutes from the town centre, but the place feels like a trip back to the 90s. I stayed three years ago and found it was basically somewhere to lay your head. They tried to charge €30 for a late departure, with just an A4 sheet of paper left under the door.
