QAWRA Palace Resort & SPA

We appreciated the warm welcome and attentive staff, especially the thoughtful room decorations and birthday cake for my husband's birthday. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere and a pleasant lounge. Breakfast was satisfactory, and lunch and dinner had a varied selection, though guests returning for longer stays might like more variety in the daily menus. There are also other restaurants in the hotel serving different food, which was good, but they weren't part of the all-inclusive package. I understand why they charged separately, so that's fine. We'd definitely come back, and we hope the hotel keeps improving. A few details could be better. Some rooms need fresh paint and minor repairs. Biscuits, water bottles replenished in the fridge each day, and an iron and ironing board in the room would be useful. It would also be nice to take unfinished drinks from the dining area back to the room, and to have a self-service ice station in the main dining area. We found dust in the wardrobe when we arrived, but the team sorted it promptly. More consistent attention to cleaning details would help maintain the standard expected of a four-star hotel. This feedback is meant to help with improvements, as we genuinely enjoyed our stay.

The staff were kind, friendly and very helpful. Our flight was in the evening, so we asked about a later checkout, and one of the male staff members said he'd check availability. It worked out great. We got good value for our money, and the hotel is near the coast and lots of cool restaurants. A few things could be improved: the rooms need repainting for a hotel of this standard, and cleaning needs more attention. Breakfast had too many English breakfast options. One section for that would be enough, with different choices in the other hot-food section. The twin beds pushed together kept separating and leaving a crease, which was annoying overnight. The air conditioning seemed weak, or perhaps wasn't working. It was also odd not to have an iron, since every other hotel I've stayed in has offered one. Still, it was a very good stay.

There was so much to do at Qawra palace: squash, table tennis, mini golf, a well-equipped gym, sauna and steam room, plus swimming pools and the sea right there for a dip. The entertainment was impressive, and the food had loads of variety. Rooms were a good size and well equipped. All the staff were friendly and helpful. John was fantastic in the gym and helped get us sorted for squash. I absolutely loved my short break here. Thanks Qawra palace for an excellent stay.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a good range of options. The room was comfortable and clean, and housekeeping did a great job each day. Staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the first day. Qawra Hotel is well placed for the sea, shops, restaurants and public transport. It was a very pleasant stay and good value for money. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it to people visiting Malta.
