Maison Medina Malta

Maison Medina is in a great spot for exploring Rabat and Mdina, with their history and character right nearby. I've stayed in hotels all over Malta, and this boutique hotel stands out. The finishes are beautiful, the style is refined, and the attention to detail is impressive. Everything was exceptionally clean and made for a welcoming, comfortable stay. It exceeded what I expected and is one of Malta's standout places to stay.

The service was even better than the already great location, especially the thoughtful details for our birthday stay. This boutique hotel has just 4 spacious rooms, with access to a beautiful terrace. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend a night in Mdina.

We stayed in the La Loggia Suite, and even the photos don't capture how elegant and comfortable it is. The private courtyard felt like our own quiet retreat. Maison Medina is a beautifully restored historic townhouse, just by the iconic Mdina Gate. With only four individually designed rooms, it feels like a royal stay in a calm, elegant setting. They even provide umbrellas by the entrance for rainy days. The rooms and shared spaces were beautifully finished and faultlessly maintained. The design is a great example of understated luxury, and all the comforts had been thought through: robes, slippers, snacks, water, tea and coffee, an ironing board, and luxurious Molton Brown toiletries. Each morning, breakfast was beautifully served on a charcuterie-style board, with plenty of fresh choices including smoked salmon, pastries, cheeses, fruit, cereals, toast, and fresh juices, along with expertly made tea and coffee. The hosts made the stay, taking wonderful care of us from morning coffee to keeping the rooms lovely. No request felt like too much, and they were warm and helpful every time. Their attention and kindness elevated the experience. Check-in and checkout were easy with the hotel's PIN code system, which gave us flexibility. They also offered complimentary early check-in when our room was ready ahead of schedule, a thoughtful start. From beginning to end, the service and care were beyond anything I've experienced, even after staying at many wonderful hotels around the world. Nothing felt overlooked, and the value for money was unmatched for me. I rarely write reviews, but Maison Medina deserves it. The atmosphere, hospitality, and care for details make it the gold standard for boutique luxury. I can't recommend it enough, and it'll be my only choice when I return to this beautiful country.
