Ivy Hotel - Adults Only

The staff were friendly, helpful, and ready to assist, and the room was kept very clean. They changed the towels and made the bed every day. Breakfast was quite good and filling, though a bit more variety would have helped. It’s a nice, cosy place in the center of St.Gilian, close to the sights. One extra tip: don’t forget a power adaptor when you come to Malta.

A handy base for exploring Malta by bus, thanks to the great location. The room was clean, towels were replaced daily, and breakfast was delicious. A great place to stay.

For a no-frills hotel, the price was decent, and the staff were friendly. There’s a convenience shop across the street on the same road and a bus stop nearby, so the location worked well overall, even though the hotel sits down a random side street. Gluten-free bread was available at breakfast when requested. Our room was on the small side, and both the street and the area were noisy. The bathroom only had an all-in-one shampoo and body wash, so conditioner would have been nice. The room was cleaned daily and towels were changed. Breakfast was never hot. It ranged from mildly warm to sometimes cold, even when we went at 7am, right when service began, as well as later in the morning. Oddly, it was warmer closer to the end of breakfast than at the start.

The reception and breakfast staff were always smiling and very friendly. Breakfast had both sweet and savoury options, and the beds were great if you like a firmer mattress. 10/10 for that. It’s a cute little hotel, with 8 floors and 4 rooms on each. The rooms are nicely sized and feel quite new. There’s already a little wear, but at this fantastic price I had nothing to complain about. It’s close to Paceville. I wouldn’t sleep with the window open because of cars honking at night, though that applies to centrally located hotels in St. Julian’s, Sliema, and Valletta generally.
