Napoli Suites

The clubs outside were loud, though I don't really care about that. What got to me was the mold in the bathroom, the noisy AC, and the loud water pump outside. It was D-Day on the beach at Normandie kind of loud. Would I stay again? Nope, unless it was my last option in Malta.

The host was amazing and took care of everything, keeping us informed ahead of time and treating us so kindly. Our room was great and had the balcony we really wanted, plus everything else we needed. The location is the best if you're going out, right beside the street with all the clubs. Definitely good value for money.

The room was clean and comfortable, the aircon worked well, and the cleaning staff were lovely. But the booking itself turned into a mess. We reserved two nights at Napoli Suites and messaged right after to confirm a few details, especially a double bed. They clearly said yes. When we arrived early, staff were friendly and offered to store our bags. When we came back to check in, we were told without warning or asking us that we'd been moved to their other property, Miami Apartments. At reception there, they said the reservation was for only one night, even though I had written proof it was for two. The receptionist spoke to me as if I were stupid, said it wasn't her problem, and told us to check with Napoli. Nobody had told us about the transfer, but apparently we had to sort it out ourselves. Napoli's reception was closed, so I had to handle it all on WhatsApp. Eventually a man, who was nice at first, fixed the booking issue. The room wasn't what we'd reserved, either. Most importantly, it had two single beds instead of the double bed they'd confirmed in writing. When I went back, the receptionist was dismissive again. The man from Napoli changed his tone too, spoke condescendingly, and said the double bed was subject to availability. Why confirm it in writing, then? There was no apology, effort, or accountability. The customer service was a disaster, with us sent between properties and given no information, respect, or real solution. The room's good points don't make up for receiving something different from what we booked.

The receptionist was so welcoming, kind, and friendly that the service stood out even more than at some five-star hotels. Her warm welcome gave us wonderful first impressions of Malta that stayed with us throughout the trip. Keep in mind the hotel is in a nightlife area, so I wouldn't recommend it for children. If you're after a lively night out, though, it's a great choice. We'll definitely come back.
