Seafront Designer Bliss in Central St Julian's

The bathroom was outside the room, the beds were old and uncomfortable, and the fan was noisy. There was no A/C, and although we asked for a sea view, our balcony faced a wall. At night it was extremely loud. We arrived at 1 AM to find a very dirty room with just one double bed and no sheets for the extra sofa bed, even though there were three of us. When we called the office, they brought stained, dirty sheets, and the poor guy had to change them twice. No views, no cleaning, very poor service. Don’t book here if you want comfort and cleanliness.

I couldn’t take any photos because I just ran away from the place. We found a beautiful room nearby, and I’ve told them about the issues but haven’t heard back yet. Only two rooms are shown as having sea views. The dark, dirty rooms are covered with curtains. There were lots of problems: a broken wardrobe, a dirty and uncomfortable sofa, dirty walls and bed sheets, and no air conditioning. There was only a noisy fan, so we couldn’t sleep properly, and there wasn’t even a private shower.

The owner was really helpful and always replied to messages. He gave us an extra heater and an adapter. The location is good, with lots of shops and a bus stop nearby, and our small room was big enough for three. The beds were comfortable, but there was no proper window, just a small walled-in space outside, so the room was dark and got no sunlight. It was cold too, and the walls looked like someone had thrown a bucket of paint at them. The shared kitchen and bathroom were disgustingly dirty, flies were everywhere, and there was fungus in the showers. I felt grossed out showering there and worried about bacteria. We had to oil the toilet doors because they made so much noise. If the owner cleaned the place, it could be a great hotel. For one to three days it might be fine, but after our seven-day stay I couldn’t wait to get back to my clean apartment and shower without worrying.

The fan in the room was incredibly loud, the oven didn’t work, and the TV was useless because it had no adaptor. The bathroom sink was blocked, there was no soap, and even the hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. The place was terrible.
