Blanc Boutique Hotel

The location is very good, and the design looks lovely and luxurious, but the rooms aren’t maintained properly. Ours had a bathtub in the room, but there was a lot of humidity and no fresh air, so the walls were moldy. The room details need more care too. It doesn’t feel like a real four-star hotel, especially at these higher prices. Breakfast was very poor, just some salami, ham, cheese, butter, and jam. For the money, the quality doesn’t add up. It might be worth the price if they took better care of room maintenance and the details.

We had a nice stay, though with prices this high, four stars is the most I can give. The service was helpful and really good, and breakfast was tasty, served in a small room. The hotel is cosy and well placed near the sea and Sliema city center. Our room looked good at first glance and the whirlpool was nice, but the bathroom could use renovation because some wallpaper was damaged. The only window was right by the tub, with no curtain or anything to cover it, so the neighbors could see us bathing. No daylight came through it either, which made the room feel odd.

I stayed five nights about two weeks ago and would highly recommend it. It’s a quiet, upmarket B&B just off the main promenade, with very clean, elegant white rooms that were bigger than I expected. Manager George is professionally polite, friendly, helpful, and discreet, like someone who’s worked in five-star hotels. The breakfast area is small, but there’s a good choice, and George makes lovely omelettes to order. I’m fussy, and really couldn’t fault it! Lol.

The owners are fantastic, but this feels more like a guest house than a hotel. It’s okay, not great. Both rooms 2 and 3 leak during rainstorms, and the wear is showing: bowed floors, chipped tiles, plumbing patches, and grime in the shower. They made a real effort to make the place feel special and posh, but time and the corners cut across Malta are catching up with it. Amazing photos can set you up to expect about 70% of what you see, and here it’s more like 60%.
