Blue Waters Penthouse Sliema

My wife and I have spent the past five years staying at Blue Waters, and we’ve loved every minute. The flats are spacious and clean, and the owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the sea and Sliema’s lively promenade. We’ll be back.

We lived in one of their flats at their sliema premises for five months. It was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed, making it a good fit for a family or a group of friends on either a short or long stay. Ruth and Neville, the owners, were very friendly and helpful whenever maintenance was needed. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of sliema, with the bars, restaurants, and shops we needed nearby. We also loved being just a two-minute walk from the seafront promenade. I highly recommend it!

The kitchen was pretty bad, with cooktops that didn’t conduct heat well. The shower wasn’t great either: it had very little pressure, stopped spraying when raised above shoulder height, then spat out cold water for a second or two when lowered. The toilet leaked for the first two weeks of my stay. In week three it only leaked when I leaned back, so it wasn’t totally bad, but it wasn’t good either.

We stayed in the penthouse, which had two balconies. The larger one was huge, with a grill, sunbathing chairs, and very nice views. The amenities were good too: a well-equipped kitchen for cooking, three AC units, Wi-Fi, a washing machine, and a TV with so many channels you could spend your whole vacation surfing them. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the sea, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and bus lines. Sliema itself doesn’t have many attractions, but buses can take you around the whole island.
