MS Cutty Jean

Every morning I could relax in the sun on the rooftop, then head out to explore Malta. The boat's spot is hard to beat, with a view of stunning Valetta and bus and ferry stops only minutes away, so getting around the island was quick and convenient. It's a comfortable, cozy boat, the breakfast was excellent, and the crew were especially welcoming and lovely. A great setup for a week-long adventure.

Charles and Daria were wonderful, attentive hosts, and we loved our time on the MS Cutty Jean. Just be clear about the accommodation before booking: it's an actual fishing boat turned into a place to live. It's small and narrow, but beautiful. You won't have the room or comfort of a five-star hotel; instead, it feels like stepping out of time and landing in a little paradise. Pack light, since there's no room for big luggage. It's ideal for a couple who want to be very close to each other. If the wind gets up, you may feel the boat surge. We had a beautiful time.

We spent two nights on the Cutty Jean and absolutely loved it. It was the best part of our time in Malta, a modern adventure with romance and plenty of fun. Before we arrived, the communication was great and everything was explained in detail. Our host met us at the marina front and showed us around the boat, including our cabine. We were welcomed with cold drinks, which we enjoyed with the captain up top, looking out at Valetta. After an evening stroll we slept comfortably in the cabine. Breakfast was served on deck the next morning, where we also met the other passengers. The captain was attentive and made sure our needs were met, and would've handled any problem. Our host, his wife and the other guests were lovely company. We're sure we'll come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I booked two nights on Ms Cutty Jean through Airbnb, then stayed an extra night and took a full-day island tour with Charles, which I definitely recommend. I landed in Malta very late on March 22th 2018th, coming from Catania, Sicily, and Charles kindly waited at the airport and drove me to the boat. Daria, Charles' wife, made delicious breakfast and dinner for me each day. On my last evening I also got to meet their kids, at my request, since the whole family lives in their house about 10 minutes from the doc. I couldn't recommend staying on this boat more. I've included two pictures with the kids and the whole family onboard.
