It didn't feel safe at all. The fire alarm went off, and guests were left to check whether there was a fire in the kitchen. Nobody came to check or take responsibility. That was completely irresponsible.

This was the worst experience I've ever had booking accommodation abroad. We paid the full amount upfront through Booking.com a month ahead, then, just 45 minutes before our flight to Malta, the property messaged to say our reservation had to be cancelled or moved to another one of their properties in a different area, supposedly because of a “technical issue.” We were about to board and kept asking what the issue was, but they didn't respond in time. One of the girls in our group was pregnant, so we couldn't risk not knowing where we'd stay. Reluctantly, we accepted their suggested hotel. But after we landed and turned on our phones, there was another message saying they'd made a mistake and there wasn't a room available at the alternative hotel either, due to the same technical issue with the original booking. We spent more than an hour and a half trying to reach them by phone and message, with no response at all. We had to take legal action. They were completely unprofessional and unreliable, and gave us no security or support. Don't consider booking here, you could end up without anywhere to stay. I'm back to add this after the owners saw my review. I'd already contacted Booking and shared all the details, but they sent me an insulting message. This shows how 'professionally' they behave.

The suite was nice, the location was good and breakfast was lovely. Mornings were quite noisy, though, so it could use soundproof walls.

The staff were really nice and the room was clean, we enjoyed our stay. Sliema is a perfect location, and it wasn't hard to find a parking space even though the hotel has no parking of its own. They could improve things by changing the towels regularly and replenishing the toiletries automatically.
