The Maltese Sun

The sun deck was such a nice spot for breakfast, with a good choice of food. My room was spacious, lovely, and clean, and Jessica made me feel welcome from the start. Communication with the property was easy and they replied quickly. I also really appreciated being allowed to check in early. Thank you! 💛

The staff were so kind, and their thoughtful little touches made the stay even nicer. I liked the rooms' charming old-fashioned decor and the atmosphere it gives the hotel. The location is ideal, and breakfast was good too.

We stayed for 2 nights and found it great value. Room 14 was on the terrace level beside the breakfast lounge, and it felt cozy. The mattress was wonderfully soft and the room was very clean. Everyone we met, from the woman checking us in to the breakfast and cleaning staff, was fantastic. The cleaners were like ninjas, we never saw them, but the room was spotless. Breakfast had a fancy selection of cheese and ham, omelette made to your preference, and other usual morning food. There’s lots to do nearby in Sliema. I’d definitely recommend it, and if I return to Malta, this will be my tried-and-tested place to book.

It was easy to get around the island from here. There are a couple of bus stops under five minutes away, and the ferry on the other side of Sliema is a 15 minute walk. The hotel itself was a really lovely base and good value. The staff I met were always smiling, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was good, with nice people serving each morning. The hours can be awkward if you’re heading out early on a day trip, but they kindly left me a packed breakfast in the communal fridge for my excursion. My room was comfortable and had everything, including a kettle and plenty of sockets. Self check-in was straightforward, and I sorted things out at reception the next morning.
