The hotel’s location made a big difference for us. I took my mum, who can’t walk far, and we could go out every night without having to walk too far. It’s a beautiful, fully restored boutique hotel right in the heart of Valletta. The small rooftop pool isn’t large, but it didn’t need to be. It was perfect for a cool dip after a hot day. The staff were more than exemplary. Edwin was lovely when we checked in after a late flight, and the girls looking after us at breakfast were lovely too. Booking a massage downstairs in the spa was a real bonus. Our interior room was a nice size, with AC and gorgeous bedsheets. The large bathroom was clean, and the minimalist design had enough storage. Since we were so close to the city centre, we didn’t plan to spend much time in the room. I would have given five stars, but I noticed a thick buildup under the bed and clothing from previous guests, so I asked them to vacuum there. They took care of it straight away. I’d highly recommend it for couples or elderly guests because of how close everything is. Thank you for a very special week. ☺️

The staff were extremely kind and thoughtful, and our room was clean and in nice condition. But we paid good money for a hotel advertised as having air conditioning, and it was roasting every night. Apparently the AC only runs for a couple of months at the height of summer. If you call ahead and confirm it will be on, it’s a great choice. Except for the penthouse, the rooms don’t have windows facing outside. They face the lobby roof, which is glass and has no ventilation, so it’s effectively a big greenhouse. We were uncomfortable sleeping in recycled air. I don’t usually leave reviews and hate complaining, but if you struggle to sleep when it’s boiling hot, please don’t stay here.

The hotel has a lovely boutique feel and an amazing design. Our room was clean and comfortable, but it got very loud outside the window from early in the morning.

We fell in love with Malta, and 66 St Pauls played a big part in that. The little rooftop pool and lounge area were a welcome treat after a day in the sunshine. Breakfast was delicious, with cold meats, juices, pastries, and everything we needed. Our room had high ceilings and cut stone walls overlooking the central courtyard. It was quiet and shady, just what we wanted. The location was fabulous, centrally placed and only minutes on foot from the town centre, harbour, and more. All the staff were great, from the waiting staff to the health spa and cleaning staff. We had a unique welcome when we arrived, with a complimentary drink and useful tips about what to see and where to eat. Maximilian was especially attentive and helpful. He’s passionate about Malta, and it shows. I have no negative things to say about our stay.
