Attention! The company’s photos bear no resemblance to the actual conditions. The apartment was dirty and smelled musty. There was mouse droppings in the cabinet with the electric fuses, which we had to open after the kettle blew a fuse. A cockroach was dead on the balcony, and another was alive in the kitchen. The AC didn’t work, there weren’t enough sheets, and the blankets were worn and looked dirty. After we protested, we were moved to a decent, nice apartment. At first they asked us to pay extra, which was very audacious given those conditions, but the issue was eventually settled without an additional charge.

There were bedbugs in the bed, carcasses in the bathroom, and the blankets hadn’t been made up. The accommodation was a disgrace, and one night was already too many. When I complained, the staff said it was cheap and a definite no-go, and my money was gone. I booked a hotel room in Sliema that first night. Stay away from this hostel and pay a little more.

Being close to the center of Valletta was convenient, but for the four of us this apartment didn’t feel suitable for three nights. The kitchen and bathroom were acceptable. The furniture couldn’t be used because of the damp, the bedroom had no window, and the beds had mattresses almost at floor level. I wouldn’t recommend it.
