Gozo shows you a different side of Malta’s three islands, and there’s plenty to explore. Take the ferry over from Malta, then make time for the Citadel and Victoria, the capital, where you’ll find lots of restaurants for a good meal.

The ferry makes it really easy to get around Gozo, and the scenery is beautiful. We used the Red Bus sightseeing company for a well-organised island tour, though there are other operators too. Visiting was such a refreshing change from congested Malta, and I’d recommend it 100%.

Gozo felt a lot calmer than the main island, and we said we’d probably stay there if we came back. It’s well worth visiting. Even if you take the bus to the ferry terminal, there’s still time to use your ticket to get to Gozo.

I had lunch on this very cute island, and the seafood was really good. It was bigger than I expected and had lots of tourists. The Citadel was huge and beautiful.
