Cornucopia Hotel

The pools and lovely courtyards were great places to sit and unwind, and snacks were available through the day from friendly staff. We also found the lounges comfortable and the bar well stocked. Our room was comfortable, well serviced, and room service brought meals up until 9 pm. The hotel is attractive, though a little out of the way, which I suppose is part of its appeal. It was easy enough to get to nearby places of interest. The restaurant is spacious with good food choices, and while staff sometimes seemed under pressure, the service wasn't affected. There wasn't much entertainment apart from a Friday barbecue. We were there in late September and early October, so I can't say whether peak season is different. I was happy with the quiet evenings and often enjoyed a drink and a chat with other guests in the lounge. A very enjoyable stay, and I'd gladly recommend it.

On our second visit this year, the staff again made things easy for us. Jet 2 doesn't offer a full package to the hotel in December, so the hotel arranged a taxi from the airport, ferry tickets both ways, and even a hire car. It's a lovely spot for a relaxing holiday, just a 5-10 minute walk from the town square. We'll definitely recommend it and plan to return next year. For us, it's the perfect getaway.

We loved this beautiful, classy hotel and its lovely property. piavva is within walking distance for restaurants and a chance to mingle with the locals. We'll definitely be back.

We spent nine nights in the Cornucopia Hotel farmhouse and loved it. It exceeded what I expected. The separate house sits within the hotel grounds and has two bedrooms, a cozy living room with a kitchen, and a lovely patio with trees, old limestone benches, and a table and chairs. It seemed recently renovated, everything felt fresh, and it had what we needed. Best of all, the house was peaceful and private, with no shared walls, noise, or distractions. Just outside the gate were the resort facilities: two beautiful pools, a restaurant, a bar, and sunbeds. Even those spaces were quiet and restful. Maybe the off-season timing helped, but it was blissfully calm. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. The room service team was attentive and came every day to clean and refresh everything. We ate breakfast there just once, since we usually ate in the house, and it was very nice with lots of options. There's a large tree at the hotel entrance where tiny white birds, perhaps a local finch, gather around 18:30. They chirp and flutter before settling in, looking like fluffy white blossoms. Not everyone spots them, but it's a wonderful sight when you do. The farmhouse is on the ground floor, so now and then you might see an ant or a small millipede in the bathroom. They're harmless and looking for water, so please move them outside instead of harming them. Lizards and geckos visit the patio too, and help control pests naturally, so let them be. A few bathroom hooks would have been useful, since there was nowhere to hang towels. It's a small, easy fix. If we return to Gozo, we'll stay at Cornucopia again, whether in the farmhouse, a bungalow, or a hotel room. Thank you, Cornucopia!
