Horizon Complex

The balcony view is stunning and the staff are very friendly. The room decor, though, is tired and really needs redoing. Our bedrooms were beside the restaurant's extractor fan, which was extremely noisy and unpleasant until the early hours. We asked staff about moving to another apartment, but none were available, so we left a day earlier than planned.

I can't remember when we first came to Horizon, but it's become part of our life. For me, Gozo has no better views, and the restaurant is in the best location with the most attentive service. The owners are kind, the staff polite, and the food excellent. The accommodation is roomy, elegant and styled for Gozo.

The views are impeccable, and the area is quiet. Horizon restaurant below the apartments serves very good food with great service. We had a clean apartment and friendly, helpful staff who made us feel at home. Wi-Fi can be a bit weak at times, though that might not matter much. We had an excellent stay.

The position is hard to beat, right by the sea and facing east. We could enjoy the sunrise over the water in the morning, then sit on the terrace in the afternoon and evening without harsh direct sun. Without that location, I wouldn't come back. The apartment is quite dated, with wooden furniture that isn't to my taste, though someone who likes that style might enjoy it. There is no lift, card payments aren't accepted, and you can pay only in cash or by Revolute transfer, which is very inconvenient. Air conditioning also costs extra.
