Ta Marie Merhba

Breakfast by the pool was excellent, with local ingredients and several homemade items. The spread changed each morning. Our room was comfortable, mixing traditional style with modern touches. Peter and Nancy welcomed us warmly and offered a welcome drink when we arrived. We came for a weekend and would definitely return.

Nancy and Peter made us feel at home throughout our three nights. They shared detailed tips as soon as we arrived about the island, what to do, and places to visit. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the afternoon tea was a lovely, tasty extra. They went out of their way to look after us. Thanks to them, our time in Gozo was memorable, and we'd highly recommend their home.

The small scale made the stay feel especially cozy, with just three rooms available. Our room was lovely and comfortable, and Nancy and Peter were caring hosts who made the whole visit a pleasure. The food was delicious, much of it homemade. I'd highly recommend Ta Marie Merhba, particularly for the wonderful hosts. Parking is easy to find near the church.

The homemade food was a highlight of our two nights at Ta' Marie Merhba. Nancy's jams, including one made from naspli, hazelnut paste, gouda, fresh cheeses and various spirits were all local products they make themselves. Peter served us a savoury breakfast on the first morning and a sweet one the next, and Nancy also made us a delicious pie with coffee and tea in the afternoon. We stayed in this little boutique B&B in Żebbuġ, and the whole house was beautifully decorated and very clean. Peter gave us a quick tour, showing us all the spots for relaxing. We especially liked the poolside, where breakfast was served. Peter and Nancy know the region well and clearly love what they do. We really enjoyed talking with them on our last day. We'd love to come back for the laid-back atmosphere and food. If you're thinking of booking Ta' Marie Merhba, I'd say go for it.
