We spent just under two weeks at Mariposa hotel on half board and had a great stay. Though it’s only three stars, the experience felt like five. The hotel has around 30-40 rooms, which gives it a very different feel from a big tourist hotel. We drove in and found parking right away, and reception welcomed us nicely. There’s a private beach with sun loungers and a lovely bar and restaurant terrace right by the water, perfect for the sunset. The half-board menu was excellent, with a local or international option mixing seafood, meat, and vegetables. We didn’t have the same dish twice in 12 days. Staff were great, accommodating, listened to our needs, and acted quickly. Early risers can get breakfast boxes; otherwise there’s a good hot and cold buffet with vegetables and salad. We recommend it for a local, family-sized experience. Thanks to the staff for making it feel so personal and pleasant. Best wishes from room 28 😊

We had a lovely stay and would happily come back. It’s a family-run place with great value for the price, and it’s kid-friendly too. You can take in the view over breakfast or while sipping a cocktail. Big thanks to Fardeen, Varun, Rahul, Pritam and the rest of the team for being so friendly and accommodating.

The beach views were lovely and the staff kind, but for the price the stay fell short. The bathroom had unpleasant odors, breakfast was repetitive and limited, and check-in felt impersonal, with nobody offering to carry our bags. Restaurant staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed, and that led to order mix-ups. We’d stayed somewhere much more affordable on the island’s east side and received a much warmer welcome there, so this felt like poor value for money.

I booked a day package for a birthday and regret spending my money here. The service was terrible, staff weren’t smiling and were arguing with each other at lunchtime, and the food was appalling. The room was tiny and dirty, and far too expensive for what we got. We also asked for a birthday cake, then were charged an exorbitant amount for it at checkout. It completely ruined the birthday. One of the worst places I’ve been to, and I’d never go back. I don’t recommend booking the day package.

The views here are lovely, and the staff are friendly. We’re vegetarian, and the chef even made dishes especially for us. There wasn’t any housekeeping during our stay, though; it was okay in the end.
