The grounds outside looked attractive and presentable. I’d heard the place was near the beach, but we were busy with another special occasion and didn’t get to go. The building itself looks old and seems to need renovation. Bugs came in when we opened the windows for fresh air, so I’d suggest fitting screens on all of them. The bathrooms and toilets need work, and I’d like AC in every bedroom.

The location was a plus, with the beach about a three minute walk away and a shopping centre nearby. Still, our apartment had no WiFi when we arrived, and the conditions felt quite unsanitary. I think it needs more attention.

We stayed in an apartment at the top of the villas, with an enormous terrace, but there wasn’t any comfortable seating and the place needed some care. Pingouinvillas is a friendly place, and the Blue Bay public beach is just five minutes away along quiet streets. It’s a very good beach for spending a few hours. Two good, inexpensive restaurants, Blue Bamboo and Les Bouganvilliers, are also within a 10 minute walk.

My wife and I rented an apartment here for a week on our honeymoon, and she made a great holiday choice. The owner is a terrific Mauritian man who gives clients value for their money, and the service was amazing. I’d recommend this place to anyone spending a longer time in the south of Mauritius. We’ll definitely come back.

Mr. Sarif Ramjan made our honeymoon in Mauritius wonderful. He gave us a clean, spacious, quiet apartment, and the service felt like real Mauritian hospitality. Blue Bay Beach is only a four minute walk away, with other hotels and executive bars and restaurants also within walking distance. Pingouinvillas was the perfect choice for my husband and me.
