I wouldn't have given such a low rating if they hadn't broken my trust by entering my place without permission, then had the nerve to call and ask why the lights had been left on. This place isn't managed, and nobody should be walking into your accommodation. If you stay here, bring a camera, because I don't trust them. It's not a hotel, and there isn't a cleaner coming in. I won't use them again. Disgraceful.

Whenever I'm in Mauritius, this is my go-to place, and I always book the same apartment. It's right across the road from beautiful Flic en Flac beach. They also do the best traditional South African BBQ I've had outside South Africa. The seafood is really fresh, and about five times the size of what you'd find in South Africa. Mannie and Man are so friendly, helpful, and accommodating, they feel like family.

The pool and location are the only good things about this place. We stayed here 8 years ago and came back, but this time the unit was shocking. I had to ask for two patio chairs because the one there was broken. No toaster or plastic salad bowls, a small fridge that leaks, and the aircon looks like it's barely hanging on. The towels weren't fit to dry a dog. Wi-Fi kept cutting out too. At R900 a night from South Africa, I expected a more upmarket unit. We had luxury in Grand Baie for half the price. Glad we only booked two nights.

I can't say what the rooms are like, but the restaurant served the best shrimps with garlic and onion I've ever had. Seriously, pure magic. Congrats to The Chef, though he wouldn't share the recipe, what a tease 😉. The prices were very reasonable too. I have to come back!

I stopped by around 4pm today. It seems the place has been turned into a grill and "boulette" spot. Had grilled lamb, grilled chicken, and a "bol 5 boulette". The taste was out of this world, and it was very affordable too. Would definitely recommend.
