One thing that could be improved is dinner at the buffet, especially its quality and culinary sophistication. More seafood choices, such as oysters and sashimi, could bring it up to the level of breakfast. Breakfast at the Pomme d’Amour restaurant was a particularly pleasant surprise this year, with a much better buffet and an outstanding variety of fresh fruit, salads, seeds, nuts, cheese, and dried fruit. It was one of the best five-star hotel breakfasts we’ve had in Mauritius. The hotel was responsive whenever we needed help with bed arrangements or minor room issues, and handled them promptly. Housekeeping and room service were efficient and professional, and everything stayed spotless and hygienic. The grounds are beautiful, with lush gardens and spectacular pools. Staff were attentive, including the thoughtful offer of bottled water on our departure day. We had a satisfying, memorable stay and look forward to returning next year.

The local wildlife was a delight, especially Amu the cat, whom we called Lola. She was polite and friendly, often showing up at breakfast or dinner for attention and wandering the grounds during the day. The food was another highlight, with lots of choice across the four on-site restaurants, and plenty of activities, some of them free. Snorkeling in the lagoon was top tier. The staff were always accommodating and super friendly, and the room was left sparkling after service. A big shout out to Sahil, whose exceptional service made breakfast and dinner amazing. He’s a real asset to the hotel. I’m checking out reluctantly: the stay far exceeded my expectations, and I can’t fault much. I’ll 100% be back.

Chef Guillaume made a big difference for us by arranging meals for our daughter throughout the stay, tailored to what she liked. Her vegetables were cooked just the way she prefers, along with other suitable dishes. Traveling with a toddler is much easier when you don’t have to depend on pasta or pizza. The whole staff were wonderful. Kapeel at the bar stood out for his friendly chats and great recommendations. James, the outlet manager, and his team were especially attentive and kind, regularly making dishes we love and going out of their way to make us feel at home. The kids club team were very kind, and their program was perfect for the children. We’ve stayed at Hilton resorts many times, and this was one of the best destinations.

During our 10 heavenly nights, the care and service were top quality, and my friends and I are leaving the island with nothing but good feelings about the Hilton. The accommodation was luxurious, the views stunning, and the evenings blissful, with graceful greetings and first-class hospitality. Sahil, a young waiter at the hotel restaurant, deserves special mention. He was attentive, professional, and impeccable in his manner, always with a smile. The hotel also has lots of wildlife, including many kinds of birds and lizards, plus a few lovely cats who deserve all the affection and snacks they get. I couldn’t recommend the hotel more and would happily book again when we return.
