The people here made the stay special. Everyone was friendly, attentive and genuinely helpful, which suited the relaxed feel of the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with plenty of fresh dishes we looked forward to each day. Our beach-view room felt cozy and comfortable right away, and the care put into the decor gave the whole place a warm feel. We spent ten days here in a small fishing village in the north, away from the busier tourist spots. It was peaceful and felt authentic, with lovely natural scenery. The pool looks out over the Indian Ocean and was especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. There’s also a little beach right outside for swimming, relaxing or listening to the waves. We made good use of the free kayaks and paddle boats to explore the bay, and the hotel’s daily morning snorkeling trip in the nearby lagoon was a great way to see the colorful marine life. We’d recommend it to couples wanting a quiet, romantic place to slow down and reconnect in Mauritius.

The rooms were spotless, and the pool areas were beautiful. Housekeeping deserves special credit for looking after us and leaving the rooms so nicely made up. We also found the staff friendly and attentive to what we needed, and the rooms and service were great. Our only drawback was the location: there was occasional street noise at night, and not many restaurants nearby.

The location is the one downside, though there’s a free transfer into the center a few times each week. We didn’t mind much, since we were happy spending most of our time at the hotel. Our room was cleaned twice daily, the facilities were great, and the food was amazing. The kitchen staff deserve 10 stars 🌟 🤩, and everyone working there was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about this place. ❤️

Please arrange pest control for the rooms. We had a great view, and although this hotel is smaller than the one we stayed at before, the infinity pool and outlook were impressive. Eloise and Jordan provided the best entertainment of our trip, now on our fourth hotel or resort. Service was generally decent and the food was decent too, on a par with the other resorts so far. At check-in, water was pouring from the AC and had pooled on the floor. There were lots of ants on the bed. Instead of calling to have the linen changed, a staff member swept them away by hand, and I had to ask her to request fresh linen. The guest experience team was great about apologizing and offered us a complimentary dinner at the a la carte restaurant. But at the sunset ritual, I was refused a drink and literally told to go “cover myself.” I was wearing a bikini top and maxi skirt. I’m still shocked by that reaction. I wasn’t the only one coming straight from the pool to an activity beside the pool that was just about drinks and snacks. We’d only checked in that day and had already had enough problems. At 4:13 at night, a fire alarm went off. We were told there was apparently a repeat offender smoking in one of the rooms, and it wasn’t the first time. The alarm sounded again at 7am on our checkout day. On the second night, a huge cockroach crawled on me in bed. We called reception, but my boyfriend killed it himself while waiting for someone to arrive. It was nearly midnight, and since housekeeping was off for the night, we had to move to another room. We were told ours would get a deep clean. When we returned the next evening from an excursion, the sheets hadn’t been changed and the dead cockroach stain was still there. Later that night, I found another one on the floor while going to the toilet. Luckily we’d kept the insecticide spray and killed it ourselves. I was too scared to sleep for the rest of the night. They offered us a late checkout, but we turned it down because we didn’t want to leave our bags in a room with cockroaches. We checked out early instead. One staff member brushed it off as normal when my boyfriend told him. I’m local and have stayed in plenty of hotels across the island over the years, and I’ve never had cockroaches in a room, let alone in the bed. This is not normal.
