We stayed at Arkenstone for six nights as a couple and had a great time. The apartment was spotless, with fresh towels every day, and Kevin was generous with tips on places to visit and things to do around the island. His suggestions led us to a wonderful sunset spot and a dolphin encounter. It’s also handy for getting around the south: some of Mauritius’s best beaches and attractions are about a 10-minute drive away. A supermarket, pharmacy, and ATM are roughly a 10-minute walk away. The balcony views are lovely too. We’d recommend it without hesitation.

We’d happily stay at Arkenstudio again. Kevin was welcoming and helpful, and the apartment felt carefully set up, with everything thought through. It was very clean and tidied daily, and both the location and the views were lovely. A really comfortable stay, highly recommended.

You’ll find shops and restaurants close by, right in the village center, and the National Park, Le Morne beach, the UNESCO site, and several nature parks are nearby too. The accommodation was wonderful, and Mr.Kevin was a genuinely friendly and helpful host.

July 2024 We felt at home as soon as we arrived, and the sunsets from the apartment were amazing. Kevin was attentive, friendly, and full of useful information and suggestions for places to visit. The apartment was cleaned thoroughly every day. It’s small, but really nice and suited us well since we mostly needed a place to sleep between days out. The location worked well for getting around Tamarin and Le Morne, with water sports and tours nearby. The bed felt a little hard to me, though my husband was fine with it. Kevin explained that the beds have to follow rules intended to suit guests of different weights, which means they need to be firm. The shower doors could be improved, as water splashes out everywhere. We wish we’d stayed longer, and would come back if we’re in the area again. Thanks, Kevin, for everything!
