Tam Studio

Don't book here. After we arrived, they told us the reservation had been cancelled, without ever letting us know beforehand. Nobody even came out to speak with us. We were left standing by the road with nowhere to go, losing a day and money too. If you want to waste time on a trip, go with them. They're a big scam. Beware.

The owner was nice, and the place was modern and clean. It's very close to the beach. I can definitely recommend it.

Everything went smoothly in Mauritius thanks to the owner, and I had a wonderful time. I booked over the phone a couple of days before landing. He helped me find a car at a decent price, lent me snorkelling gear, and whenever I needed anything, he or someone in his family would get to the studio within five minutes. The studio had shown as fully booked on Booking, and almost all the car rental companies had too. It's well located, with a commercial centre, petrol station, buses if you don't have a car, and restaurants nearby. You can park right in front of it in the garden. The studio was really big, as were the bed and bathroom, and there was a nice little balcony even though it was on the ground floor. The WiFi was very good too, since you don't have to share it with many people, which was a big plus. I'd highly recommend it to solo travellers or couples looking for a local experience in a cute fishing village instead of a resort.
