La Perla Holiday Apartments

The beach is within walking distance, and it’s one of the nicest on the island in my opinion. There are also a few small restaurants and a supermarket nearby. I stayed a week on my own and found the place tucked down a little side alley, like a peaceful pocket of its own. The owner was very caring, and the spacious apartments were clean, well kept, and equipped with what you need. Mine had a balcony looking onto a small, serene garden.

Everything you need is right nearby. The apartment is a bit small, but it’s well equipped and perfectly adequate. Donna was a friendly and helpful host, and the place was very clean. I’d happily stay again.

We loved staying here. The rooms were immaculate, cleaner than anywhere else we stayed, and the housekeeping staff were really friendly and helpful. Donna was also great on WhatsApp while I tried to track down luggage missing with Kenya Airways. They shared useful tips about places to eat and where to find a supermarket. The small room had a huge fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave, hob, fan, and AC, though we didn’t cook. The shower was hot with strong pressure, parking instructions were clear, and the gardens were lovely. It’s down a side lane in central Pereybere, close to the beach and surrounded by plenty of food and restaurant options. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Donna was an amazing host, so nice and helpful, and everything went smoothly. The place was clean and quiet, set away from the main road but still fairly close to the beach, with great value for money. There’s a lovely green garden that feels close to nature, home to a very clever, elegant cat and four kittens. The cleaning lady even left fresh, tasty local bananas in our room after noticing that we’d accidentally brought and thrown away some green, hard ones. It’s a memorable place in the north of Mauritius, which I think is the island’s best part.
