Villas Mon Plaisir

We spent two nights at Villas Mon Plaisir, and the location was just right, with a small private beach directly in front. The restaurant has a sea view, though the rooms don’t. I’d say it was about 70% value for money. As vegetarians, we found breakfast options limited. The only alternative seemed to be a sandwich and maybe fries, while dinner might have some vegetarian choices. The staff didn’t seem very friendly, and as Indians we generally felt neglected. We also had a strange experience when the TV in our room switched on by itself in the middle of the night, with someone trying to mirror their phone.

It feels a little unprofessional, but you get what you pay for. If you just need a budget-friendly bed, room and pool on the premises, it’s a good fit. We didn’t eat or drink there, so I can’t say anything about the food or beverages. Bring your own streaming logins for Netflix or other platforms, and your own soap and cleaning products, as the ones provided are small and not very user-friendly.

For the price, it’s a must. Loved the kind staff, delicious food, amazing pool and how close it is to the beach.

The best thing about Villas Mon Plaisir is the people working there. Oma, Emilia, Anice, Nana, Milicia, Ashnak and the others were friendly and keen to give us their best. Reception was perfect, our room was neat and tidy, and the beachfront and swimming pool were excellent. Breakfast and dinner were the best in Mauritius. Ten of us from Nigeria stayed here and had a pleasant time. Thanks for a great stay.
