Villa Anakao

We'd happily recommend Villa Anakao. The staff make you feel well looked after, and their kindness continued even after our stay in August. Once we were back home, we noticed we'd left some jewellery in the room. The team kept it safe and helped arrange a courier to return it. Patricia Honiss deserves a special thank you for keeping us informed and making sure it all went smoothly. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and they did so much to make our stay comfortable.

The sea views were lovely, including sunrise and sunset, though the rocky shore means there's no beach. The villa itself was really nice, and the outdoor family villa we stayed in felt cozy and cute. The drawing room was rather dark, but room service responded quickly and added LED lights. The TV worked, though there weren't any channels, which didn't bother us. There was a sink, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and washing machine in the room. Everything was very clean, and the regular cleaning was thorough. Even the clothes we'd left spread across the beds had been folded neatly. The resident dog was adorable and never caused any trouble. The day manager was welcoming, offered us drinks when we arrived, and communicated clearly. He was professional and understanding. Lukas, the evening caretaker or manager, was easygoing and nice, and we had a good chat with him. Dinner choices were good. The chicken spaghetti was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend it. The grilled fish and chicken were good too. Breakfast had enough to satisfy us, though I would've liked more options. The whole villa was worth it, and the location was nice.

Dinner was tasty and there was a good variety, so it was well worth having at the hotel. Our room was spacious, with a big comfortable bed. Patricia, Jan, and the rest of the staff were friendly, as was Zulu, their resident dog. We stayed six nights and hated to leave. I'd stay again if I came back to Mauritius.

We spent our first night in Mauritius at this small hotel and really enjoyed it. The sea looks beautiful from there, and you can get into it from the back. There's a nice little pool too. Everyone working there was friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant food was delicious. Thanks for having us!
