The setting is beautiful, the welcome was warm, and it's a handy base for visiting Il aux Cerfs and nearby beaches. We enjoyed our stay, and Cindy the housekeeper was lovely, kind and helpful. The pool is great, but there's no beach, so you'll need to walk to one. The rooms could use an upgrade: some linen was stained and tired, the WiFi could be more responsive, and the kitchen was short on equipment.

The ocean view is one of the most beautiful I've seen in Mauritius, even after several visits and stays in different places. The villa itself is lovely, with superb, up-to-date decor, a large kitchen and lounge, and a cute little pyjama lounge between the main and guest bedrooms. It exceeded my expectations for the price. It's a great setup for a party or barbeque, and breakfast is cooked each morning with quite a selection for a lone villa. The place is well serviced. There's no beach as such, but you can get to a little pier where boats can pick you up for activities, and we could swim and snorkel from there. The hosts are easy to contact and can arrange activities, car rentals and other things you might need, at quite a discount on the usual prices in Mauritius. They can also suggest good nearby places to eat. I'd choose this again. You get a taste of real Mauritius outside a 5 star hotel setting, while still having what you need, more room to yourself, privacy, good service, a better view and access to real Mauritian food, with cash left over.

It was a quiet, relaxed getaway, and I'd definitely recommend staying here. The rooms were clean with tasteful decorations, and the accommodation was comfortable with easy access to the blue ocean. The views over the blue water are breathtaking.

At first, the quirky accommodation left me unsure, but the location overlooking the bay is superb. The swimming pool is amazing, and the staff can't do enough to make your stay great. It'll be hard to leave.
