We planned to stay for two weeks but left after the first night. The stay was unbearable, and we couldn’t get off the island at night. After we contacted booking.com, they approved a cancellation with a refund, but the manager refused. The guesthouse looked nothing like the photos. Furniture was broken, the beds were worn and looked as if a cat or other wild animal had been sleeping on them for months, and the bathroom was filthy and in very poor shape. The toilet was already clogged when we arrived. Construction sites and a lot of trash surrounded the guesthouse, and the smell of campfires lasted all day and affected our health and well-being. The island seemed very neglected, with little to do except visit the dirty beach on the north side. It looked like nothing had been done for two years, or that bad reviews had been deleted to make the run-down guesthouse look good.

The dive and boat team took wonderful care of me, made sure I had everything I needed, and brought me to great dive sites. I came away with unforgettable memories and am extremely grateful to the whole team. I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially for divers. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the staff are fantastic. Everyone treated me with incredible kindness and made sure all my wishes were taken care of.

La Cabana’s dive master took us out to see the marine life, and we had a great time. We saw manta rays, lots of reef sharks, a few turtles, plus a napoleon and rock fishes. We recommend diving with them! We had a great stay at La Cabana. Nishan welcomed us like family, and the nearby bikini beach was a lovely place to relax and watch the sunset, with hammocks and lounge chairs. Mamigili island is relaxing and has great dive sites.

Muray went out of his way to make us comfortable during our stay. He even gave us a phone to use so guests could keep in touch with him, which was thoughtful. It’s a fairly new guest house on an island with few tourists, and some facilities still aren’t in place.

I liked the place. I just wish there had been coffee in the room when I wanted some.
