Fun Islands Resort - Maldives

The resort made our honeymoon feel even more special. We loved our time at fun Island resort, from the lovely setting and atmosphere to the tasty food and helpful service. Those days there were some of the best of my life, and I’d recommend the place any day.

The beaches are close by, and there are water sports and daily tours available nearby. Our room was kept very clean and well maintained, and the views around the resort were beautiful. The food was delicious, including the Jain meals the chef and servers Mohammed, Shah, Didi, the receptionist, and the food and beverage supervisor helped us with. Everyone was really helpful. It’s one of the best resorts we’ve visited, especially for the affordable price.

The food had a good variety, so it didn’t get boring, and the restaurant staff were friendly, polite, and eager to help. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Some guests smoked right beside the dining area, which was annoying, and the internet was slow. I knew a remote island might have poor internet, but it feels like a basic thing these days. During my five-day stay, the welcome was also a real problem. A woman who met us at the boat was very rude when we asked simple questions and made us feel unwelcome. A few other staff members were extremely rude too. The place is nice and affordable, but without that treatment I would have rated it four stars.

Fun Island Resort & Spa is about 37 kilometers from capital Male, in South Male atoll. For a stay in Bodufinolhu, it offers an airport shuttle, a fitness centre, and a bar/lounge. Farivalhu Restaurant Main serves international food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the spa offers Swedish massages, body wraps, and body scrubs.
